The geographical diversity of the Sultanate of Oman with its rural, urban, Bedouin, coastal and mountainous environments, gave diversity to the crafts industries of the country.
Furthermore, the natural resources of these environments helped in the diversification of cultures and skills of craftsmen which gave these industries distinguished characteristics.
