| The craftswoman Ms. Laila Bint Abdullah Bin Said Al-Hashili, from Muscat Governorate, is considered one of the distinguished craftswomen in the industry of incense and perfumes, the thing that makes her earning a reputation in this area., where it says about her work as a craftswoman: “I learned making incense, perfumes from my mother, where I was small girl I use to help my mother in the preparation of making incense and perfume and that was more than ten years ago, where I had face difficulty in learning this industry, but with the ongoing work and availability of ambition and desire I have been able to overcome those difficulties and now I am able to manufacture different and distinct types of incense and perfume and market it”. |

| About the types of handicraft products which are manufactured by Ms. Laila, she says: “ There are various types of handicraft products in the field of incense and perfumes, that I use to made, such as perfumes for wedding and cosmetics, mixed incense for wedding, sheikh of sheikhs mixed incense, saffron and other distinguished incense that experiencing good demand from within and outside the Sultanate, especially from the people of the GCC states, confirming that the handicraft industries have satisfactory acceptance from tourists and residents, as they have good financial returns, and there is a continuing increase in demand. |

| Whereas in regards to Ms. Laila participations in the profession says: “ My participation in the Muscat Festival 2008, and crafts gallery that has been organized by the Public Authority for Craft Industries, provide me with a chance to have an idea about the local market and identify the tastes of consumers, especially that my ambition was to develop my project into distinguished and well known outlet specialized in the field of perfumes and incense to make our products having a famous and known trademark. She pointing out that the support of the Public Authority for Handicraft Industries through the provision of such opportunities has contributed in the promotion of its products through local participations, and wishes to participate in future international forums. |

Ms. Laila Al-Hasili, has confirmed that, the handicraft industries has become a cost-effective material if given the right of creativity and good marketing, and success can be achieved only through a firm desire to work and sincerity to develop the self, and from this point Ms. Laila called the girls to engage in the handicraft sector because of its attractive financial returns, since the Sultanate is going to increase in various fields of tourism, this means that there are new opportunities for the market.
